Rensselaer Rising: Highlights from Our First Day Back at RJSHS!

We kicked off the school year on a positive and exciting note with a special first-day schedule! As students entered the auditorium, they were greeted with music and warm smiles from our staff. The morning assembly began with the introduction of our schoolwide theme for the year, Rensselaer Rising! Our Senior Class President then delivered an inspiring speech to the entire Jr./Sr. High School, setting the tone for the year ahead.

The assembly continued with a powerful presentation from our Reverse Mentoring Group, who highlighted the importance of behaviors that help—and those that hurt—both inside and outside of the classroom. After the assembly, students rotated through three engaging sessions: reviewing the Code of Conduct with Administration, receiving their Yondr pouches and Chromebooks, and building community through games and Talking Circles.

Together, these activities set the foundation for a year of growth, connection, and success!
