Rensselaer kicked off the school year on a positive and exciting note with a special first-day schedule! As students entered the auditorium, they were welcomed with music and warm smiles from our staff.

The morning assembly introduced this year’s schoolwide theme—Rensselaer Rising! Our Senior Class President delivered an inspiring speech to the entire Jr./Sr. High School, setting the tone for the year ahead. The assembly continued with a powerful presentation from our Reverse Mentoring Group, who emphasized the importance of behaviors that help—and those that hurt—both inside and outside of the classroom.
Following the assembly, students rotated through three engaging sessions:

• Reviewing the Code of Conduct with Administration
• Receiving their Yondr pouches and Chromebooks
• Building community through games and Talking Circles

These activities set a strong foundation for a year filled with growth, connection, and success.
